TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Police are investigating the death of a Florida woman who was found dead on a Bahamas-bound cruise ship cabin on Monday, according to the Royal Bahamas Police Force.
Officials said around 5:30 p.m., the Criminal Investigation Department Grand Bahama was notified of a 27-year-old woman who was found unresponsive in her cabin.
The cruise's medical personnel performed CPR but found no vital signs and declared the woman dead.
During their investigation, police seized suspected cocaine from a 32-year-old man in the same cabin and arrested him.
Officials said an autopsy will be conducted to determine the woman's cause of death.
No details surrounding which cruise line the woman and man were on were released.
