TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- Touching video shows NASA astronaut Suni Williams reuniting with her dogs after a longer-than-expected stay on board the International Space Station.

Williams posted the video to social media with the caption, "Best homecoming ever!"

The clip shows Williams greeting her happy pups, which appear to be a pair of Labrador retrievers. One gets so excited that it picks up a stick and trots around the front yard with its tail wagging.

Williams, along with astronaut Butch Wilmore, flew to the ISS in June 2024 as part of a test flight of Boeing's Starliner capsule. The eight-day mission turned into nine months on board the space station due to issues with Starliner.

The two astronauts returned to Earth this month in a SpaceX capsule, which splashed down off the coast of Florida.
