Brock Purdy gets his offensive line new cars for Christmas

(KRON) -- It's the most wonderful time of the year -- especially if you're a San Francisco 49ers offensive lineman. Quarterback Brock Purdy hooked the big dawgs up with brand-new Toyota cars, a video posted by the 49ers on Thursday showed.

Purdy walked the big men outside the 49ers' facility to show off five Toyota Sequoias and five Tundras. The linemen were visibly excited to hop into their new rides.

"My mind is blown, honestly," said backup tackle Jaylon Moore. "This is probably the greatest gift I ever got in my life."

It is customary for quarterbacks to give their offensive linemen lavish gifts as appreciation for doing the dirty work all season. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow bought his linemen authentic Japanese swords.

However, Purdy does not make the same money as a veteran like Burrow. On a rookie contract after being the last pick in the 2022 draft, Purdy is making $934,252 in 2024. Meanwhile, his offensive line makes more than $37 million combined, according to sports salary tracking website Spotrac.

Perhaps Toyota helped him out. Purdy signed an endorsement deal with Toyota in February and has starred in ads for the company.

Purdy has been sacked 26 times in 2024. Eighteen NFL quarterbacks have been sacked more.
