Dodgers set World Series celebration parade route

Dodgers set World Series celebration parade route

It's going to be a quick turnaround, but the city of Los Angeles will get the chance to celebrate the world-champion Dodgers on Friday.

The team has set the plan for its World Series parade, which will run through downtown L.A. starting at 11 a.m. The parade, expected to last about 45 minutes, will span a route of a little more than one mile.

It will start at L.A. City Hall before taking a right-hand turn on 1st Street, traveling down to Grand Avenue. After driving down Grand, the team will turn again on 5th Street and wrap up near the L.A. Central Library.

Members of the Dodgers will be traveling on double-decker buses, the team announced.

After the parade, Dodger Stadium will host a celebration event for fans. The ticketed event will start at about 12:15 p.m., and doors will open at 9 a.m.

Food and World Series championship merchandise will be available for purchase. The stadium's DodgerVision scoreboards will show parade coverage until the team arrives for the event.

The championship parade will be the Dodgers' first since 1988. The team didn't hold an official parade after their 2020 title due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

You can catch coverage of the events on KTLA 5.
