SAN DIEGO (KUSI/FOX5)-- The San Diego State Aztecs are headed out to Boston to prepare for their game at TD Garden against UConn in the Sweet 16.
"Well we are excited to get off to Boston. The good news is we aren't playing the Celtics, but the bad news is we are playing UConn," Head coach Brian Dutcher said.
A big challenge ahead for SDSU, a strong UConn team and a close game for their fans to travel only 3 hours to cheer on the Huskies.
But, the Aztecs are no stranger to hostile and sold out environments. It is something they have had to face all year and they are ready for the challenge that lies ahead.
"It's the Sweet 16 it is what it's going to be," senior forward Jaedon LeDee said. "It's do or die so no matter who is there you gotta go out there and play."
The game is set for 4:39 pm PT on Thursday.
