FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE) –Fresno state senior shortstop Ben Newton has played a consistent role in the Bulldogs' lineup. Batting sixth he provides a spark when he's up to bat.
Newton credits the Bulldogs' success this season to their offseason work and veteran group.
"We've got a good group of old guys that have been here before. We know what it takes to have success out there" said Newton.
Newton has a solid role as a senior. He's started in every game this season for the Diamond 'Dogs.
"Come out here and work hard every single day. Luckily we have a lot of people that push one another. We stay competitive and that's what brings out the best in one another" said Newton.
