SAN DIEGO (KUSI) - On the final regular home season game, UC San Diego tastes the 92-87 victory over Cal Poly in front of a home crowd filled with family and friends in honor of Senior Night.
UCSD Guard and Torrey Pines alum Bryce Pope would drop 22 points on the night. Pope saying, "I knew it was gonna be an emotional day.. being senior night. It's one of those things where.. I didn't think it was ever gonna come, you know but here it is.."
The UCSD Tritons are ineligible for NCAA Tournament play due to moving up to Division I, but will be eligible next year.
The Tritons finishing their regular season 21-11 and earned second place in the Big West.
The Tritons have been selected to compete in the College Basketball Invitational taking place in Daytona Beach on March 23.
