No. 25 USF looks to keep program-record winning streak alive at UNC Charlotte

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — No. 25 USF men's basketball continues to shatter class ceilings.

If you haven't already heard, the Bulls are riding a program record 13-game win streak while ranked in the top 25 poll for the first time ever.

However, it’s the growth from the Bulls since the start of season until now that Head Coach Amir Abdur-Rahim is proud of, and he describes it in one word: "Immaculate."

"For 15 guys to be able to put aside individually want or needs or goals or goals for the common goal for the team, man, it’s the only way something like this happens," Abdur-Rahim said.

USF is currently in first place in the American Conference. The Knights are tied for second. Although UNC Charlotte Head Coach Aaron Fearne and his team have lost the last two games, the Knights still have a chance to wear the AAC crown.

"I think they call their student section Fernville man it's going to be rockin and rolling in there. Why? Because they still have an opportunity to win a championship," said Abdur-Rahim.

USF has just three games remaining in the regular season before the American Athletic Conference tournament begins.

"Every day you wake up you get two things: a chance and a choice," said Abdur-Rahim.
