CHICAGO — World Cup champions Argentina are headed to Soldier Field this summer to play a friendly against Ecuador.
Early access tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. and the general sale begins Monday at 10 a.m.
The match is scheduled for June 9.
Fans may have the opportunity to see Argentina captain and one of the greatest ever Lionel Messi to play in Chicago.
Many fans were hopeful Messi would be able to play last October in Soldier Field for his MLS club Inter Miami.
However, he did not travel with the club due to an injury.
Ticket prices soared for the big match and Chicago Fire FC decided to offer fans a credit toward a future match or season tickets.
Ahead of the 2024 Copa America, Argentina will also play a friendly against Guatemala at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland.
Argentina won the 2022 World Cup led by Messi and their roster of other stars.
