GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Just three days after being upset in both Girls' and Boys' basketball, the Montrose Red Hawks were determined to get back in the win column Friday in Palisade.
The Girls' game was a battle. Neither team held a lead larger than 2 points throughout the entire third quarter. But the Red Hawks made sure the fourth quarter was their quarter, surging in the final few minutes and ending the game on a 16-2 run.
Then in the Boys' game, Montrose came out hungry, focused on making up for their first loss of the season Tuesday. Palisade took a 2-0 lead in the first 20 seconds and didn't see a lead after that. All Montrose in Palisade, 53-33.
