Dan Campbell: ‘Outside shot’ TE Sam LaPorta plays in Lions-Rams playoff game

Detroit Lions star rookie tight end Sam LaPorta has an “outside shot” to play in the Lions-Rams playoff showdown on Sunday night, according to Lions coach Dan Campbell.

Campbell said Monday that they’ll know more in 48 hours, but said the injury is more like days, not weeks, which is great news for the Lions offense.

LaPorta left the game vs. the Vikings just before halftime with a knee injury, a quarter after breaking the all time rookie record for catches by a tight end. He’s been a key part of the Lions offense.

The Lions-Rams kick off in Detroit on Sunday night at Ford Field -- game starts at 8 p.m. on Local 4!
