GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — After dominating their way to a Bulldog Winter Classic Championship in Palisade, the Wildcats topped Max Prep's latest state rankings Monday.
At 9-0 and led by the athleticism of Daniel Thomason and shooting and handling of Austin Reed among plenty of other key contributors, Fruita was also ranked #1 in Colorado's biggest class - 6A - by CHSAA.
The Wildcats have won all nine games by an average of 21 points and have beaten two top-20 teams in #12 Broomfield and #18 Silver Creek.
And Fruita hasn't played a game at home. The Wildcats will be back in action tomorrow in Eagle Valley to face the Devils, and won't play a home game until Jan. 4th.
