Following the team’s 8-1 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks, clinching the American League West Title, the Astros team store will have extended hours.
Several fans were excited to pick up merchandise.
“Never doubted our boys! I knew it was going to happen this year. I knew it,” Yvonne Tejeda said.
“Oh, you know I had to come and get the merch. I mean every time they win something, division, World Series or whatever it maybe I have to come get the merch,” Andrew Medina said.
The team said the store will be open for 24 hours beginning now. Breakfast will be available for fans from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. Monday morning.
Houston now waits to find out who they will be facing in the American League Divisional Series, where they will face either the American League Central champion Minnesota Twins, or the Toronto Blue Jays.
Fans are hoping the team is refreshed and ready for October baseball.
“It’s a Golden Era for Houston sports fans right now. The Astros are on a roll. They got to keep rocking and rolling we got to cheer these boys on,” Joshua Silva said.
The team said the store will have extended hours on non-game days throughout the postseason.
The store said hours Monday - Friday will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday’s from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
