Attorney General Pam Bondi testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday on oversight of the Justice Department.
Bondi was expected to face intense questioning as the Trump administration continues its crime crackdown and threatens to deploy National Guard troops to several Democratic-run cities.
The Trump administration's targeting of former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James has also raised concerns over whether President Trump is weaponizing DOJ against his political opponents — a practice Trump accused the Biden administration of doing.
The hearing was scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. EDT.
