UPDATE: Trump, VP Harris campaigning in Las Vegas Saturday

UPDATE: A Tuesday news release provided additional details on Vice President Kamala Harris's stop in Las Vegas on Jan. 27. Details below:

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Campaigning in Nevada is picking up this weekend as Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump have events happening on Saturday, Jan. 27.

The Nevada primary, where Democrats will choose their candidate, is on Feb. 6. And while there is a Republican primary the same day, the state GOP will choose its candidate in the Feb. 8 caucus.

Jan. 27 is the first day of early voting in the Nevada primary elections.

The "Team Trump Nevada Commit to Caucus Rally" is scheduled at Big League Dreams Las Vegas in east Las Vegas, beginning at 1 p.m. To attend, get up to two tickets, register at https://event.donaldjtrump.com/events/president-donald-j-trump-to-deliver-remarks-at-commit-to-caucus-rally-in-las-vegas-nevada. The park is at 3151 E. Washington Ave.

Trump is the only major candidate remaining in the caucus after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis suspended his campaign on Sunday. Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley is on the Republican primary ballot in Nevada, which makes her ineligible for any of the state's delegates.

A Jan. 9 poll of Nevada voters showed Trump with 73% support among Republicans, but his lead over President Joe Biden had shrunk to just 2 percentage points (47% for Trump, 45% for Biden).

Harris is also planning an event in east Las Vegas on Jan. 27, but times and locations have not been announced.

Harris is expected to deliver remarks at an event with Congressman Steven Horsford and attend a campaign event, according to information released to the media on Monday. On Tuesday, Harris's office said she will highlight the administration's commitment to help small businesses and entrepreneurs. "She will be joined by Small Business Administrator Isabella Guzman and Horsford.
