(NewsNation) — A Delta Air Lines passenger managed to board a flight from New York City to France without a ticket this week.
The flight, Delta 264, was going from New York John F. Kennedy International Airport to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris on Tuesday.
U.S. Transportation Security Administration officials said the woman bypassed ID and boarding pass checks before getting on the plane but did get physically screened for prohibited items, which she did not have, according to Reuters.
"TSA will independently review the circumstances of this incident at our travel document checker station at JFK," TSA told Reuters in a statement.
It's unclear if the woman was arrested when the plane landed in France, but police were called to the airport.
Delta said in a statement that it is conducting an "exhaustive investigation" of what happened.
"Nothing is of greater importance than matters of safety and security," a Delta spokesperson said. The company said it will not comment further at this time given the ongoing investigations.
